Itinerary

  • Your day begins with a pick-up by your Egyptologist guide from your Nile cruise or hotel in Aswan, followed by a visit to the impressive Kalabsha Temple. This remarkable site, dedicated to the Nubian god Mandaulis, was carefully relocated near Aswan to save it from the rising waters of the Nile after the construction of the High Dam. Dating back to around 30 BC in the early Roman period, it is built over an even older structure, offering a fascinating glimpse into ancient religious life in Nubia.
  • You then continue to Philae Island, home to the stunning temple complex dedicated to the goddess Isis. This sacred site, which flourished from Pharaonic times through the Roman era, reflects the deep spiritual and architectural heritage of ancient Egypt. Reaching the island by motorboat adds a scenic touch to the journey before enjoying a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.
