Start your day with an exciting Sinai desert jeep safari from Sharm El Sheikh with Wayra Egypt Tours. Early morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven through the breathtaking landscapes of Sinai to the historic St. Catherine Monastery, located at the heart of the peninsula at 1570 meters above sea level.
Discover the sacred site where, according to tradition, Prophet Moses saw the burning bush that was not consumed by fire. The monastery, built in the 6th century during the reign of Emperor Justinian, stands at the foot of Mount Sinai, where Moses is believed to have received the Ten Commandments. Later renamed St. Catherine in the 11th century, it honors the early Christian martyr Saint Catherine of Alexandria.
Continue your journey along the St. Catherine road to reach one of Sinai’s natural wonders—the Colored Canyon, located about 65 km north. Walk through its narrow passageways with towering sandstone walls reaching up to 40 meters high, displaying stunning shades of red, yellow, and brown formed by natural minerals over time.
After exploring the canyon, head to Dahab for a relaxing lunch and enjoy a walk along the famous Mashraba promenade, experiencing the laid-back charm of the city.
